WYSA Mission

Our Mission:

WYSA is the home of the Waterville Recreational Soccer program and Maine Novas Soccer. Jointly we provide boys and girls between the ages of 3 and 15 with a soccer program which is appropriately competitive for their age and skill level. The program emphasizes the development of soccer skills, an understanding of the game, and the enjoyment which comes from playing the game at both a recreational and competitive level.

We have 400 plus soccer players from throughout Central Maine. Currently our players are from China, South China, Fairfield, Waterville, Oakland, Belgrade, Sidney, Augusta, Readfield, Winthrop, Winslow, Skowhegan, Norridgewock, Benton, Canaan, Clinton, Hinckley, East Vassalboro, St Albans, Pittsfield, Plymouth, Albion, Unity, Rome, Palermo, Monmouth and Belfast. The Maine Novas maintain affiliations with Soccer Maine, (United Soccer Federation of Maine (USFM)), USSF and the United States Youth Soccer Association (USYSA).

WYSA’s purpose is to develop, promote, support and assist in the growth and development of instructional and recreational soccer programs for youth soccer players in Central Maine. This is accomplished by qualified coaches emphasizing a positive soccer learning experience and respect for the rules of the game.

As the organization continues its growth we welcome all new players, coaches and volunteers.
